Meet Dr Neelam Ramjee (Chiropractor)
Dr Neelam always wanted to be a chiropractor because she finds how our bodies work interesting. “I like how everything is connected, especially our muscles and bones. Seeing how chiropractic care can make a big difference in people’s lives made me want to be a part of that. I want to help reduce pain, improve people’s movement, and overall make them feel better.”
Dr Neelam earned a Bachelor of Chiropractic from New Zealand College of Chiropractic in 2023. She enjoys combining her love for science with hands-on healing, which is something she’s excited about. She hopes to positively impact people’s lives through chiropractic care.
More Than Fixing an Ache
Dr Neelam doesn’t view chiropractic as just being about fixing an ache. For her, chiropractic is about genuinely impacting someone’s everyday life. She finds it rewarding to connect with patients personally, build trust, and be there for them through their health journey.
“Whether it’s helping someone recover from an injury or supporting them with a long-term condition, the feeling of making a positive difference in someone’s life is what makes being a chiropractor so fulfilling for me.”
Outside-the-Practice Interests
When she’s not at the practice, Dr Neelam enjoys a mix of things that bring joy to her life. Cooking is her big passion – she loves trying out new recipes and making tasty dishes.
“Travelling is another highlight for me, discovering new destinations and experiencing different cultures.” The beach is Dr Neelam’s happy place, offering a peaceful escape with the sound of the waves. Spending time with friends and family is also important to her; she enjoys moments of laughter and making memories together.
Global Learning and Adventure
“I have a bit of an international journey in my background. I was originally born in Africa, specifically in Zimbabwe, and spent my formative years growing up in Botswana.”After that, Dr Neelam moved to New Zealand, where she spent a good chunk of nine years. Along the way, she pursued her studies in chiropractic, which has been a fascinating and rewarding journey.
“Now, I find myself in Australia, embracing new experiences and opportunities. It’s been quite a ride, and I’m always eager to see where life’s adventures take me next!”
